And so begins my fourth blog. I currently write for two work-based blogs, one is the collaborative blog written with the other Westminster Business Librarians, the other is the blog I write to support my Fashion Business courses. I also write a personal blog about my tastes in music and general musings on that topic.
This, therefore, is blog number 4. Its name comes from the Latin evolvere meaning to roll out. The term evolutio therefore was applied to the act of rolling out a scroll, and thus brings with it the translation "the opening (and reading) of a book". I thought that was neatly apt for my new blog, a dissemination of updates with regular rolling additions. And I like to get in a bit of Classics in wherever possible.
This blog has been set up for my thoughts and reflections on the Westminster University 23 things programme, a discovery programme to explore Web 2.0 technology and its uses at work and at home. To find out more about the original 23 things programme go here. As a previous graduate trainee in one of the college libraries I have been following the Cambridge 23 things programme on Twitter, and as a keen user of most things 2.0 I am eager to get started with our own version of the programme.
I will be reflecting on each of the 23 things via this blog and Twitter @elliemurphylib using the hashtag #wmin23 So off I go to play with Web 2.0...
